Having trouble choosing the right color scheme for your PowerPoint presentation? This tutorial will guide you through the process of creating a good color scheme by using a few tools.
First we need an online color scheme generator. There are a few available online, Color Scheme Designer is what we used in this tutorial.

• Simply pick the color scheme you want by choosing color options and tweaking the hue circle
• When you are satisfied with the setting. Hit print screen and capture the new color scheme

• Launch any vector graphics software with eyedropper tool (e.g., Adobe Illustrator)

• Paste the screenshot we just captured and then create several rectangles, depending on how many
colors you need for the color scheme

• Select one of the rectangles and use the eyedropper tool to copy the color. When done select the
next one and repeat the process until you have got all the colors you need

• Select all rectangles and press copy, then go to PowerPoint and click Edit > Paste Special

• Choose Picture (Enhanced Metafile)
• Ungroup the image we just pasted into PowerPoint

• Get rid of the invisible shape after ungrouping, then double click one of the rectangles and choose
"Color" > "More Colors", get the RGB code and type it somewhere on the slide for later use

• Repeat the process until you have all the RGB codes
• Right click anywhere on slide area and select "Slide Design", then go to "Edit Color Schemes" at the
bottom of the PowerPoint Window

• Choose each of the Scheme colors and press "Change Color", revise the Color scheme using the new
color combination
• When you are finished, click "Apply" to refresh the new color scheme
